Sydney, NS — Applied Wealth Strategies is pleased to announce that Joey Haddad has joined the firm as a Partner. As Denise Gallant begins to gradually scale back her work after 44 remarkable years, this appointment helps ensure clients continue to receive the trusted care, guidance, and long-term support that define Applied Wealth Strategies.

Born and raised in Sydney, Haddad is well known across Cape Breton for his accomplishments in hockey. He played in the QMJHL from 2005 to 2009, including two seasons with the Cape Breton Eagles, before going on to a 12-season professional hockey career.
Following his playing career, Haddad continued to build his leadership credentials with the Cape Breton Eagles, serving from 2023 to 2026 in senior executive roles including General Manager of Business and President/Alternate Member. In those roles, he helped strengthen business operations and lead organizational growth.
Haddad is a graduate of Sydney Academy and holds an MBA from Cardiff in the United Kingdom. He is also licensed to offer mutual funds and life insurance products.
For Haddad, joining the firm marks both a personal milestone and an important professional step.
